RIDING ARENAS and GALLOPS ADVISORY SERVICE

David Lovatt Smith is an independent Consultant on the construction and surfacing of riding arenas and gallops. He has been giving advice on this important element of the industry since 1977. In 2002 he dealt with more than 150 enquiries relating to the subject.

He is recommended and approved by the British Horse Society and is registered as an expert in this field. He lectures on the subject and is the author of the booklet 'Notes on the Construction and Surfacing of All-Weather Riding Arenas' published by the BHS.

Fees for a typical visit to an arena site with a subsequent report and recommendations are from £175 plus expenses.
